The technical working groups galvanize expertise to generate and pilot test best practices and guidance on governing the private sector in specific thematic areas.
The Working Groups combine the expertise of actors at country, regional and global level with the aim to generate best practices and guidance to support better governance of the private sector in health. The work produced by the working groups helps countries govern the health system as a whole to build more equitable and resilient health systems and achieve national health goals.
The MNCH Working group has a specific focus on MNCH services in LMICs that are delivered by formal private providers. The working group is currently working on the following priority areas: Partnership; Learning and Best Practice; and Implementation Support.
The Data working Group is currently working on Identifying the data on private health care providers that are needed for governments to steward both the public and the private sector in the health system. The group is also working on determining the type and quality of data currently being regularly collected from a range of private health care providers in LMICs for use in governance oversight or regulatory activities.
