About the Support Desk

The Support Desk is a resource for Ministries of Health, WHO staff and WHO development partners. It offers access to WHO and other local, regional, and global experts providing technical support and assistance about the engagement of the private sector.

The Support Desk can provide help on engaging with the private sector for a range of public health objectives – from specific objectives like emergency preparedness and response, to objectives such as Universal Health Coverage and efforts toward more resilient and better repaired health systems.

The support desk provides:

  • A service to prepare rapid research briefs summarising the results of literature reviews and interviews with key informants.

  • Access to recordings of discussions/debates about current strategies, opportunities and challenges for countries in their work with the private sector.

  • Connection with an expert who can offer technical support.

  • Collation of existing resource to identify relevant resources to respond to a particular issue.
