Working Groups

 

The Working Groups combine the expertise of actors at country, regional and global level with the aim to generate best practices and guidance to support better governance of the private sector in health. The work produced by the working groups helps countries govern the health system as a whole to build more equitable and resilient health systems and achieve national health goals.

Engagement with the private sector for the delivery of COVID-19 diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines
The working group provides an inclusive and coordinated structure to support governments to harness private sector capacity in the COVID-19 response.
Data for the governance of the private sector in health
The working group aims at fostering consensus on what private sector data is critical to better govern a health system.
Engaging the private sector in health for Maternal, New Born and Child Health (MNCH)
The working group focus on engaging the private sector for the delivery of quality Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) services.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is the decision-making body of the Country Connector on Private Sector in Health. It is responsible for setting overall strategic directions, advocating for, and overseeing the activities of the Country Connector.

Members of the Steering Committee provide advice on strategic direction and ensure the Connector remains country-led and country-driven. They provide expertise towards building better knowledge on the governance of the private sector in health and guiding the provision of practical support to country’s governments and partners. The steering committee members get selected through a competitive process every two years by WHO headquarters.
